Magnolia

It really is a great year for magnolias - masses of blooms, and blue skies to show them off. This tree was looking fabulous in the sunshine, smothered in flowers, but had a branch or two quite close to the ground, hidden in the shade around the back of the building corner where it was growing. For the short time before the flowers start to go over magnolias admit of more or less no competition from any of the other beautiful spring flowers - they're simply too magnificent.
