Christmas for Carly
Busy by day, busier by night. Out to Skibbereen for shopping, eye checks and collecting Yola's hand decorated Christmas cake, which is a wonderful winter wonderland work of sugar craft . Back home in time to do a quick tidy up, before heading out to join Caz, her girls and friends for an early Christmas celebration for her daughter Carly, who is heading off to France for the winter season to work. Good luck and happy boarding.
Hubs and I had to pull ourselves away from a lot of laughter helped by Pictionary Mania and Xmas Cosmopolitans. As I left the warm house to head out into a wild and rainy night I took a couple of shots and just as well I did as they turned out to be the only ones for the 15th.
We whizzed home to rustle up a very rapid bean & choritzo casserole (courtesy of the pressure cooker) and Golden Syrup Sponge pudding (courtesy of the other pressure cooker) for the next round of hilarity around the kitchen table, but this time with Graham, Tom, Claire and Ben.
Then we all headed out for a late music session to Coughlans in Ballydehob and danced till the early hours to the funky sounds of Coco Mojo. Excellent day and night, exhausted and smiling we fell into bed very late.
