Closer

Unlike quite a few artists in my Sony Walkman Countdown, I have not been a NIN fan for a long time. I only got around to listening to their music about fifteen years ago. I bought The Downward Spiral and I really didn't like it; too dark and heavy with too much swearing for my taste. However, after giving it another couple of tries it began to grow on me. Now, I think they (he) are (is) amazing and I can really appreciate the incredible artistry in the music. Anger wielded with intelligence and skill, just what you would expect from an erudite, classically trained pianist with, shall we say, a few issues. And a very close friend and admirer of my No.1 artist.
