Holguin, Cuba
well we arrived here around midnight last night, after a very very long day of travel....lots of sitting or standing in line, with the final pain in the arse....45 minutes waiting for golf carts to take us and our luggage to our rooms.....finally hit the pillow around 1am (really 2am of course).
Our room is just fine and so far everything works. The day started so well, beautiful sunny day, a nice breeze ..... and no snow!!!!
The beach is wonderful of course, and i finally was able to find a couple of chairs and a shady cabana......Terry and i went off for some lunch and like almost everyone else, left our towels on our chairs to save our spot till we returned. When i went back a little while later my towel had been stolen! Who the hell steels someone elses towel....i ask you! So after talking with the management, if it is not found or handed in by tomorrow morning i will get a replacement one which i will have to pay $20 for!!!! I felt so pissed off and angry, really spoiled what had been a lovely day. There were many other towels laying around, unattended and the thought did cross my mind that i should just scoop up one of them.....but that is not the right thing to do - it would just pass on my bad feellings to someone else, very bad karma for sure. it was a fleeting thought, i really couldn't have done that! So i sit in the lobby, having a beer and working thro letting it go!
2 weeks of this sun, sand and ocean is too precious to mess up over this!
