A thing of beauty

This is the back wall of our holiday cottage. It is a recently built dry stone wall where the natural colour is still bright and untarnished. This area has miles and miles of these walls. They are built without any cement or other material to hold the stones together. They are simply laid stone on stone on stone. And they don't fall down.
