Ups and Downs

A good circular walk. Cuckmere Haven-Friston Forest-Friston-over some of the Seven Sisters-back to Cuckmere Haven.

It has been a warm day, really felt like early Spring. Some signs - lots of celandines and primroses in flower. Brimstones and peacock butterflies. Bumblebees feeding on early tree flowers (wild cherries ?). And the native birds all singing. First chiffchaffs yesterday, continuing into today.

We last visited this area over 20 years ago. It is a lovely corner of England.
