A day of two halves.
Morning
Cycle with the boys in Glorious sunshine to the local shop to buy various goodies for lunch. Followed by a couple of hours pottering in the garden during which I actually considered finding the sunblock.
Afternoon
Someone flicked a switch at 1pm on the dot and the haar (sea fog) rolled in at a rate of knots. Now cold, damp, and very spooky. We retreated to the The Orkney Fossil and Vintage Centre on the other side of Burray. Spent a couple of hours pouring over fossil fish, glowing rocks and old photos. And of course had to have a bit of cake in the cafe.
Lesson learned = don't plan to do something later, seize the moment and do it while the sun shines.
