The Face of The God
The God decided to appear before his people. For an entire day his image hung in the sky above The City and he delivered proclamations and prescriptions in a voice made of thunder.
The Atheists refused to be convinced by this phenomenon. They spoke of meteorological circumstances and mass hysteria.
The Agnostics descended in a spiral of debate - both public and internal - and were unable to come to any conclusion.
Many of the Believers rejoiced in this confirmation of their faith and planned the construction of a new temple in the God’s honour. But some of them turned from the faith because the revealed face of the God did not live up to the pictures in their minds. They said that the disappointment was like that experienced when seeing photographs of the cast of The Archers.
