Lantern Parade

We took our homemade lanterns to the Blackburn lantern parade.... me with a fish, Nina with a bird, and Aiden with a cool Dalek. It was lovely to see all the other lanterns, including geese, turkeys, trees and an angel. At the end of the parade was a big firework display, lazer type lights illuminating the cathedral, and an unexpected lit up gangnam snowman.... Fake snow sprayed the audience, and I could hear a kid behind me saying knowingly 'It's not real, it's just bubbles'.... but it was still magical :-)
