Day 16: Something You Made
Well J made it actually. We're having a bit of a handmade Xmas this year, trying to focus on the important things like spending time together and having stripping away some of the pressures put on us by the Christmas marketing tools. So when J mentioned going to the shops on our only family day of the week to get Xmas cards, I begged him to stay home and make me one instead.
I really love this painting. It's similar to the sort of photos I like too. I was gutted when he put his name in such an obvious distracting place. In fact, I'm not sure why it needed his name in it at all, its not like he's at school and needs to label so it doesn't get list :-s. I do think its still pretty enchanting and itll be something ill treasure. So, although I didn't make it, it's perfect for today's photo challenge.
There were lots of other possibilities for today's entry as we had a very crafty day indoors. I've dive some baking, the girls finished their 'decorate your lunchbox' entries for Monday, they also did paintings and finished their salt dough decs for the tree.
My second favourite painting of the day was M's picture of "stink". It was mostly green with stink lines coming up from it. M was praising her imagination skills throughout.
Officially being in the Xmas season we had to watch Home Alone before dinner. My bro and his new wife are currently in New York for their honeymoon and have booked for the home alone tour?! Whatever that means.
I've been stitching again tonight. Take me ages to do some very simple things. Mostly little embellishments on things. My next task according to E's letter to Santa is to make her school uniform in a size to fit her stuffed tigger toy. Hmmmm
