The Old Oak Under The Stars
As it was a gorgeously clear night with the stars out and no clouds, I headed out at midnight to get a photograph of my favourite tree. It's only a minute drive away, an Old Oak split in half by a lightning strike sometime over its 400 year plus history. It's a tree that is inspiring it its determination to keep living. Its amazing to think of it through all those seasons and exactly how many star filled night's it has seen.

Best viewed large to see the split tree and those stars!
