Park

A pleasant walk today in Cumbernauld Glen and Cumbernauld House Park with Cumbernauld and Kilsyth Ramblers. (How many times can you get the word Cumbernauld into a single sentence?)

Starting from Braehead Road, we followed a different route than usual through the Glen, up to Wardpark and back alongside the burn, then up to the Park for a wander through the daffodils near the old 'motte and bailey' castle before returning to the start-point. After a break for lunch, there was a meeting to plan the summer Tuesday walks programme. That's now more-or-less finalised, so it was a productive morning.

Food shopping later and an opportunity to try an 'orange and ginger' scone with my afternoon coffee. Yum!
