Still Beautiful

Dear Diary,

This is the rose that I posted back on March 10th, from the beautiful bouquet that DDW sent me after my Emerson died.  The flowers gradually faded and wilted as flowers do with time but not this rose.  It dried up just as it was, in full and magnificent bloom.  It really was most extraordinary.  Most roses don't last all that long in arrangements but this one is, to me, still beautiful and it is in a bud vase now for me to continue to enjoy.
