The Lighted Life

By Giacomo

God Bless the Child

After reading the accounts of the Newtown bloodshed in the morning paper, I felt compelled to make one of my rather infrequent visits to the Cathedral of Saint Paul. Once there, I lit 26 vigil lights for the victims who died in Sandy Hook Elementary School that day. By the time I was finished, the Cathedral was completely lacking of human life. It felt empty and hollow much like we all do as we contemplate the unimaginable events of that day.

God Bless the Children and Teachers of Newtown.

I could not stop listening to THIS ZUCHERRO song today. It is powerful and moving.

I never have found myself alone in this building before so, after lighting the vigils, I ran to the car and got my kit out of the trunk. If you have time, please press big to see the glory of the design.
