Bubbles

These two "Bubble" cars live across the road from us.
At the end of the war the factories of Messerchmitt and Heinkel were no longer allowed to produce aeroplanes and turned their workers skills to building cars.  The top one is the Heinkel Trojan 200cc and top speed of 56 mph and the door opened the front to allow access.  The canvas roof panel is an emergency exit in case of an accident.   It does have a reverse gear which isn't a great deal of use if somebody parks too close!
The lower bubble car is the Messerschmitt 175 with a similar top speed.  The door on the side lifted up and over.   It has a sporty sunshine roof and a "pin up" girl on the dash board!   Boys and their toys!
