Waiting for the tide

A slow start to the day. and then working on a report all day. So I took my daily run in the late afternoon. Unusually, we have stayed at the beach house, as I have a late start at the office tomorrow morning, and we thought we could enjoy the quiet here, and in breaks from the report, I could provide some lifting for the gardener.

After running on the roads for a while, and then the beachside paths, I went down onto the expanse of sand at Algies Bay. This starfish was on top of the sand in between some of the few shallow pools of water left behind when the tide went out. The water is on its way back to the shore, although it won't be high tide for a few more hours yet.
