Staircase

A lovely sunny day and we headed north to the main tourist areas. This staircase is from Torres de Quart a tower from part of the 15th Century gatehouse. We were swept away by La Lonja a gothic civil building with majestic columns in the main hall, see extras. There was a small courtyard full of orange trees that were both fruiting and flowering, the smell was overwhelming. The backstreets of Barrio del Carmen area were interesting with lots of added street art and graffiti. The Mercado Central was full of colourful fruit, fish and meat and we also explored the Cathedral viewing the Holy Grail or so they claim and a saints preserved arm. A very interesting city, looking forward to tomorrow’s exploration.
