After a shop in Windermere I drove down to Bowness and was lucky to get a parking spot near the lake. 

I thought I had my blip sorted with shots of the ice cream van and a passing steam boat. Walking on further I noticed a pair of mandarin ducks. First time I've spotted them here, having only seen them previously in the county further south at Grange over Sands. The male was easy to get photos of but the female was much more active. I'm hoping they find their way home and don't become dependent on being fed duck food by tourists. 

All shots straight from the camera just with a crop in some cases ......... no time for anything else. Although the main blip shows some movement it's my favourite but there are more in extras.
