Kaiteriteri

Well Murchison was a bit of a one horse town with an unexpectedly excellent restaurant - freshest of food and a wide range of veggie options, enjoyed under a quince tree.
The journey back to Takaka, through spectacular Alpine forests. A stop at Mapua for a mooch around the estuary and snazzy shops, then a stroll in the beach and a swim at Kaiteriteri which was looking Greek and beautiful with amazing yellow sand.
Now back home in the Birds Nest in Takaka awaiting the family who've gone to Nelson to pick up Joe's next van which he exported from Heathrow at Christmas!
What a great road trip. I really feel we got a good taste of this amazing country.
Wrecked again but can't wait to see them all again.
