Crinkle Ghyll - wetter than expected

Well I am officially a member of the SOC again and it was great to find that Peter Dyson, was running this weekends "climbing" event.

The weather wasn't really up for proper climbing so Pete had suggested a classic lakeland scramble. Crinkle crags via Crinkle Ghyll.

The walk in was was very pleasant until we actually entered the ghyll where we found a fair bit more water than anticipated.

The ghyll winds its way up the hillside through some impressive rock scenery. the volume of water added tot he interest.

if you look carefully in the background you can just see the back of Phil's head as he parted company with the rock and ended up almost waist deep in the pool below this particularly tricky step
