Tarxien Temple.

Surrounded on 3 sides by housing and shops and on the other side by a modern cemetery this temple complex has 3 temples spanning 1500 years, older than Stonehenge or the Pyramids in Egypt, they were found when farmers complained they kept breaking their ploughs.
A local monk spent 5 years excavating them and then died taking his notes with him!
Luckily another local took over the excavations and recently the EU has paid for a tent to protect them from the weather.
Seems it's too late to protect them from "reconstruction "
