What an odd day. The strange and disturbing news is that a neighbour has disappeared. She set off for a concert on her bike and has not been seen since. Police and helicopters everywhere.

Tonight I cycled over to East Oxford for Sandy’s 60th Birthday soirée. On the way a boy who’d been knocked from his bike by a car and was awaiting an ambulance.

In more positive news we distributed about 60 footprint tunnels for the hedgehog research and everyone was very happy to receive them. Several people called me ‘the hedgehog lady’ - an undeserved accolade. Hedgehogs make people feel happy.

I do hope my neighbour is found soon and well.
