Lovely day
We had a lovely day today - though I am back blipping it so it was actually yesterday! We went to a ceremony at the village school in Elham near Canterbury where Graham's mum lives to celebrate a chair (more like a throne really!) that the family had made by a local carpenter to commemorate my father-in-law who died last year and which is placed in the school grounds. George lived in the village all his life, and contributed much to it. It was such a lovely day, all the children from the primary school were there. The chair was blessed by the vicar, with the help of some school children, and Graham's mum Joyce sat in the chair and said a few words about George. A lovely memory of a lovely man. The school were most grateful to have this chair, which forms part of their forest school and will be used for story telling. I've done a collage of the day.
