Backfilling the trench

With rain in the forecast for tomorrow we needed to backfill the huge trench dug for the cable. We labored with shovels till lunch out in the soy field because the ground is too soft for the tractor, but the ground by the house is much more dry and my husband is making short work of filling this side of the trench.
