Quilts

Today I have had an interesting and enjoyable [ if rather exhausting] day. I went with 2 other ladies from my Quilting group to take part in a Linus Quilt Workshop. Linus quilts are quilts made to be given to children who are ill either at home or in hospital. There were about 12 of us altogether and between us we made up the quilt tops for I think 8 quilts. Three of them were a group effort with everyone making 3 completed pattern squares which were then pieced together [ top right and middle left in the photo ]. I then was set a task to sew together 4 lines of 17 pieces of fabric. I have these home with me to complete and return. Altogether a great day and I learned a lot from all the more experienced quilters there and...best of all... in a wonderful cause.
