Sally Mair - Loving life

My town

Edinburgh Castle looking spectacular in the sunshine this afternoon. Just one of the things that helps make Edinburgh so special.
Up early this morning and into town for a Cursillo meeting at 10. Got lots done but still managed to finish early and head off to get the bus to A's I walked from Nicholson Square down to the West End and got onto a 22 which turned onto the Western Approach Road and promptly stopped as it joined the end of a queue.
It took me forty minutes to get as far as the Diggers where, instead of forking right to Murrayfield it went straight on.
Apparently if the is rugby on they now close the whole road and everything is diverted along Gorgie Road. After another 15 minutes of the queue moving forward one car at a time - the traffic lights phasing had not been changed - I got off the bus on Henderson Terrace. I walked along Gorgie Road where the traffic was at a standstill too as Hearts were at home Aberdeen. I got all the way to Saughton Winter Garden before the bus I had been on overtook me. Ridiculous.
Round at A's helping her get the house ready, my rubber gloves got well used! We also painted two walls in the lounge where there had been a small repair done. Home again at 8.30 for a late tea and that's another busy day over.
