The Dummy Tree

Unlike the mythical Money Tree, The Dummy Tree is very much real. Down in my favourite park, where the herons are, is this curious sight. Traditionally, kids of a certain age come here and say goodbye to their childhood comforters, the good ol' dummy. Some place a wish list with theirs, others just hang on their own. Quite a touching little ceremony really. The thing gets "harvested" on a regular basis, they put up a little warning note in advance - very cutely written too.
