Springwalk

After scraping ice off the car windscreen this morning, I headed to Alloa to run in the Half-Marathon along the foot of the Ochils. The weather was exceptional with cloudless skies, no breeze and temps around 5°C at the start. It is a very fast course, on closed roads throughout and only one notable climb. I was very happy to get a proper PB for the distance, after the shortened, downhill Aviemore race in October

Later I returned to the hill to retrieve the wildlife camera. I had hoped to catch some more deer, but not last night. Nevertheless, there was a good selection of creatures in the spotlight:

rabbit
fox
songthrush
mouse
wood pigeon
grey squirrel
blackbird
blue tit

and a Chiffchaff giving it laldy on the audio throughout the daylight scenes.
