Cyanistes caeruleus
One thing I've missed here are garden birds, we've occasionally seen a blackbird and even a robin, but always very wild and wary. Have hoped that as they get used to us, and with food and water around, they might start to appear. Thrilled, then, today, to watch a tiny Eurasian blue tit flitting around the garden as we ate our Sunday croissants. It appeared to be mainly looking for insects in the bay tree, and unafraid of us.
Gratefuls:
- a relaxing day, following a very late night last night; after the meal with the Padre, we were all invited back to a doctor couple's home for (very posh) drinks until way after even the old midnight
- the three wonderful human beings who made me a mother (though not Mothering Sunday here)
- the prospect of a meal with our expat friends over the other side of the Lake now...
PS Forgot to say on yesterday's Blip that another consequence of the lightning is that the church bells no longer work, feels very quiet without their quarter hourly chiming.
