Play Ball!

Our grandson at his little league baseball game. They change positions every inning, so this inning he was catching. Baseball has come a long way since I played as a kid. Now they have a semi automatic pitching machine that does a really good job of serving the ball so it is hittable. The speeds are adjustable, but at his level it is coming at the kids around 30mph. Seems faster than that because the pitching mound is pretty close to the plate. Fun to see him play - he is a very good hitter - went 3 for 3 in this game. His dad takes him to a batting cage from time to time, where the speed is around 45mph, so the ball seems much slower in his actual games, and makes it easier to hit.
