Sunrise

Last night the geese flew away from me towards Caerlaverock and this morning I was woken by flocks of them flying back over the Solway, towards me. That was just before dawn, as it was beginning to get light. I’d had a good nights sleep and kept warm even with my head out of the bivvy bag.

This is the sunrise which I saw as I walked back to my car at Carsethorn.
