On the way to paint

I went down to join the painting group this afternoon. It is interesting to work alongside others who are using all sorts of different media, painting and sculpting. It is also very convivial with lots of chat, tea and cake. The morning was rather frustrating as I went to do a big shop but found that my French bank card would not work. I phoned the bank and they told me that my card ran out yesterday which I had not noticed and that they had sent me a new one. However I had not received this in England even though it was posted two weeks ago. They said they could send one to my local French branch but that it would take a minimum of eight days. Great! It is a good job I can still use my English card.
