Shrewsbury.

Today I took a 2 hour guided tour of Shrewsbury Abbey. A very interesting building with a chequered history , but certainly not the most photogenic abbey I have visited.
The most interesting fact of the day was that during the Civil War the parliamentarians blew a hole through the wall of the Abbey to gain access and used the building to house Scottish prisoners of war ....plus stable their horses.
