Agnès Varda - Rue Daguerre commemorations

The great film director Agnès Varda, who passed away on March 29th will be buried tomorrow at Montparnasse cemetery. This afternoon J and I visited her purple house on rue Daguerre and left a small bouquet. 

My favourite commemorations outside her home were the potatoes people were leaving, some heart-shaped and some inscribed in various ways. (This story explains Varda's link to potatoes). 

I've had the pleasure of teaching Varda's film Cleo de 5 à 7 quite a few times and have a great deal of admiration and respect for her.
