Cherry Blossoms walkabout
The blossoms went to full bloom yesterday but I decided to forgo the throngs of people and traffic jams and go for the traditional walkabout today instead. The shots were taken at Washington's Tidal Basin, a circular basin of water that is tidal and is lined with over 3,000 flowering trees -- gifted by Japan in 1912 as a sign of friendship. The sight of all those trees in bloom is to behold and no picture can do it justice.
