Allegri Miserere!

I watched a fascinating programme the other day about Westminster Abbey. There was a section about how the boys in the choir are in effect boarders at a school set in the Abbey. It went through the process of how the soloists are picked, in this case for Ash Wednesday. The song chosen was Allegri's Miserere. It is a beautiful piece of music and this version sung in the Merton College Chapel by the Tallis Scholars is regarded as a landmark recording of this piece.
