Ossian's Cave
This cave is a partially natural feature in the National Trust’s forested landscape near The Hermitage in Perthshire. Several large boulders have been joined with stone to form the corbelled roof and sides with two small wall openings to let in some light. The picture shows a low stone seat. Records suggest the cave was created in the mid 18th century by the local landowner to commemorate the blind Scottish poet Ossian. Steadying my iPhone against the rock at the entrance allowed a steady shot at 1/4 second.
