Lame Blackbird!

The usual Pigeon, Rook and Jackdaw visitors this morning, but at last a smaller bird has come to my new feed tray  -  a  Blackbird.  He nibbled a bit on the tray, and rested a while on my fence. He allowed me to take several shots of him, but it wasn’t until I downloaded them that I discovered he had lost a leg.  How, I don’t know  -  maybe he had managed to escape from a Sparrowhawk!  Thank Goodness, he has strong wings!  The extra is one of the Dwarf Daffodils Pam gave me years ago  -  still going strong every year and only ever growing to about six inches in height.  As you can see the day started off rainy, but it dried up a little during the day.
