Tulip
I took advantage of a brief lull in the rain to get a quick photo of this tulip. The colour of the fence behind didn't really go well with it, so I opted for a monochrome version. It's a solitary yellow tulip, probably the only survivor of a few bulbs planted years ago by someone. It flowers every year and we don't have the heart to move it, even though it's not in the best of spots, and looks a little forlorn without any companions. Still, it's hard for a tulip not to look handsome, especially just before it opens.
