Going with the grain

I'm trying a different printmaking technique using the grain in an old plank of wood that I found lying around the garden. First stages completed today, bringing out the grain by using a heat gun to scorch the surface and a wire brush to remove the softer burnt areas before sealing with linseed oil. Not sure where I'm going with this yet but I'll probably combine it with a second block from lino.
