Pentewan to Chapel Point

We decided to walk to Mevagissey via Pentwan, the coast path heads inland 'till a foot bridge crossing the St Austell River and following it into Pentwan. R.isn't permitted on the beach, so after a coffee stop another hike over a hill to Portgiskey Cove where the remains of 19c pilchard cellars and boatyards are.R was allows here so diverted from the path for a paddle. Loads of jellyfish, razor shells, and sea-potato in the cove. Then up and down to Mevagissey for lunch in the harbour.
After lunch we planned to walk onto Goran Haven, but public transport down here doesn't seem to exist, and the last bus of the day from there is 1.30pm, and we decided it was too much to go there and back today.
We did walk out past Chapel Point, to Bodrugans Leap, and almost to Goran, then back to Mevagissey and decided to bus back to the site. R was slowing having covered 10 most of which was on the lead -which is harder than free running.
