new post

This incongruous new post puzzled us yesterday. Solar powered light on the top of a 4x4 in freshly poured concrete, with hand stenciled lettering. Maybe it's to guard the water pipe (which is used to irrigate the heritage apricot orchard). There's a real streetlamp about 2 meters from the post, to my left as I'm taking the picture .. The building is the Los Altos Youth Center, next to the Main Library, and the tree is an apricot.
