Nobody was wrong . . .
 
Yet nobody was right either, except perhaps Pleach who thought it might be for keeping papers together.
 
 
The peg on the left came from the washing line.
 
The peg on the right came attached to something we bought ‘on line’ and was holding their business card or similar – neither Mrs W nor I can remember what.
