Alley
I drifted a little further into High Headingley on my lunch time walk today, ending up on one of the long cul-de-sacs (Grosvenor Road) that back up onto Woodhouse Ridge. This alley, Back Grosvenor Terrace, links to Cliff Lane.
This is where the great and the good of Victorian Leeds built large stone villas, exiting the smoky city centre a couple of miles to the south east. Judging by the blue plaque that I found (extra) , one of the great did indeed do some good.
