Flowers In Your Hair

By bethanyanne

This isn't a very good quality photo but I wanted to share what I did today-- handmade gifts!

This one is for my aunt, who is also my godmother. I made tea soap using mint tea leaves and melt-and-pour glycerin, and tea bath soak with more tea leaves, oatmeal, corn starch, dried milk, and some scraps leftover from soap making. Tutorials that I followed are linked below.

The gift tags that I made are modeled after the printable set on the tutorial-- there wasn't a mint option so I created my own. (Turns out one of my favorite fonts is the same as the one she used-- go figure!)

I also packaged the gift with a gift box, tissue paper, some old ribbon and twine scraps (all from last year), these awesome free (well, pay-with-a-tweet) printable gift tags, and a $2 roll of kraft wrapping paper-- which means this gift cost me a total of $2 to make.

Feels SO good to have time to craft again. Handmade gifts are my absolute favorite project.

Here are some links for you, in case you're a last minute, cheap gift giver/maker like me:

Happy gifting!
