Warming Up

Back on home soil with familiar subjects and it's still late winter. However, the lake has thawed and we can see open water now. The days are warming and extending. It was very pleasant to be out later making photographs in the setting sun.

I liked the textures and warm rich colours of this old stump surrounded by leaves and twigs, contrasting against the remains of the cold ice.
