Portobello Beach Edinburgh Day 111

A beautiful day today. So calm Dog whelk and sea weed wrenched from their deeper water habitat are the only local evidence of the terrible storm at the weekend which ravaged the Scottish east coast. In our area North Berwick sea defences suffered catastrophic damage and Kirkaldy Esplanade ( across the Forth from here ) was badly flooded. Now I know why all those cargo boats were sheltering off our Beach at the weekend.
