Margam Abbey, Port Talbot, Wales

Another funeral but not a veteran this time. A friends wife passed away recently and about 8 others from the RAF Masirah and Salalah Veterans Association attended.
Sandra was social secretary of the association and organised the annual reunion and Gala dinner, and a fabulous job she did of it too.
She will be sorely missed by the association, and the Abbey where she would maintain all of the robes worn by priests, choir etc.

A service at the abbey was followed by cremation at the nearby crematorium.
On the way back there was atrocious weather, even a very heavy hailstorm with the hailstones lying on the M4 motorway like snow!
4 accidents along the stretch between Newport and Cardiff, people just don't adjust their driving when hit with such weather. Luckily I was on the bike so didn't get held up as much as the cars, vans and trucks.
