CannyScot's Day

Fruit Tree Blossom

A beautiful, sunny day

We decided to visit the Walled Garden in Backhouse Rossie Estate in North Fife. We hadn't known about it until a couple of days ago when we picked up a leaflet. It is a very old Estate, and claims connection to Mary, Queen of Scots who walked in the grounds.

The daffodils and the fruit tree blossom were beautiful - Scotland's Daffodil Festival is held here later in the month. There is also a Covenanter's Tomb on the Estate, which goes back to the 1660's.

If you would like to see some more photos of the Garden see my Flikr Album here
