A town of keys
Willenhall in the Black Country built its reputation on the making of locks and keys. There are four big keys around the small town centre which recall its illustrious past. We managed to find two of them today on our sculpture hunt.
I spent my teaching career in the next little town a couple of miles away from Willenhall but I had never been into the town centre. What a little gem! Some parts have been tasteless modernised but there is still some lovely old architecture and interesting non-chain shops. There were also some great opportunities for street photography - the people of the Black Country really are such wonderful characters! They love their animals and have faces and walks that are so expressive.
I wanted to take a picture of this key, and the Willenhall Woman needed somewhere to tie up the dog while she went into the shop... Blip sorted...
